Best of Blooms: Where to See Cherry Blossoms in New Jersey

We are officially in the precious few weeks where the Cheery Blossoms are blooming in New Jersey. No matter if you are visiting for another reason, or have come to town especially to see the trees bloom, here are five of the best spots to see the Cherry Blossoms.

1. Branch Brook Park - Newark, NJ

A 30-minute drive away from The DeBary Inn, Branch Brook Park is home to over 4,000 cherry blossom trees making it the largest collection of trees in the United States. The park will be hosting their annual New Jersey Cherry Blossom Festival on Sunday, April 10.  

2. New Jersey Botanical Gardens - Ringwood, NJ

The historic New Jersey Botanical Gardens offers a wide range of gardens to peruse. As part of the larger Ringwood State Park, the grounds include 10 different gardens including the perennial garden where the cherry blossoms bloom. The New Jersey Botanical Gardens is a 45-minute drive away from The DeBary Inn.

3. Verona Park - Verona, NJ

Verona Park is a beautiful combination of green-space, trails, and scenic views. If you are going cherry blossom hunting with young kids, this is the perfect place to go. Only a 30-minute drive away from The DeBary Inn, the whole park takes on a pink hue in spring with the number of cherry blossoms emerging. 

4. Hurd Park - Dover, NJ

A 40-minute drive away from The DeBary Inn, this expansive park has lots of cherry blossoms blooming in the springtime. If you are looking for a long nature walk, Hurd Park is stuffed with footbridges, walking paths, and gazebos to occupy your afternoon. 

5. Warinanco Park - Linden, NJ

With trails and gardens galore, Warinanco Park is only a 30-minute drive away from The DeBary Inn. Both sides of the lake at the south-east corner of the park host blush pink and white cherry blossom trees. The path around the lake is the best way to see the blooms.
